What we collect
We collect product-usage events such as normalized page categories, portal type, designed button codes, and completed operational steps. Authenticated usage is associated with one-way pseudonymous user, organization, school, and record identifiers. We treat those pseudonymous identifiers as protected data.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, student details, form contents, free text, filenames, payment details, concrete record URLs, or tenant hostnames for product analytics.
Why and how we use analytics
Analytics is used only to understand product usage, maintain service quality, and improve UpperSeat. It is not used for advertising, cross-site marketing, or the sale of personal data. We do not use session replay and do not record form contents.
Analytics service and hosting
Our analytics provider acts as a processor in its United States Cloud region. A browser network request necessarily reaches that service from your network address, but our analytics project is configured to discard raw IP addresses at ingestion and to disable GeoIP enrichment. The service receives only the minimized event properties described above.
Browser storage and privacy signals
UpperSeat analytics uses no analytics cookies, local storage, session storage, or other persistent browser storage. The public site uses our analytics service in an always-cookieless mode; authenticated portals keep analytics identity only in memory.
Browser analytics is not initialized when Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) is enabled. Server-side transactional analytics may still record a minimized event when an authenticated product action succeeds because those events support operation and improvement of the service rather than browser tracking.
Retention and requests
Analytics events and derived person data are retained for no longer than 24 months and are then hard-deleted. You may request access or deletion by emailing info@matriculapr.com. We may verify your identity and coordinate with the relevant school before acting on a request.
Changes and third parties
We will post material changes here with a new effective date and provide an additional notice when required. Our analytics provider is the third party that processes the product analytics described here; other vendors used to deliver requested product functions are governed by their applicable product disclosures and agreements.
